Each year, the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) evaluates the latest model releases for their safety, issuing ratings (much like the American NHTSA) to vehicles in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
And just recently, they announced that the new Mitsubishi Triton has scored an overall five-star rating, the highest rating possible. This puts the Triton on a short list of models that have hit the threshold, and recognized as one of the safest models available.
While other vehicles frequently get five-star ratings for some variants on their line, it’s rare for all different forms of one car to come together for an average of five stars. This is no small achievement for Mitsubishi, and you can bet they will be happy to flaunt it.
Safety is no doubt one of the largest factors in choosing a vehicle. We’re proud to see Mitsubishi continuing its long-term, consistent trend of equipping its lineup with the latest and most effective safety technology.
