Fall is the perfect time to take a scenic drive. The colors are stunning and wildlife is abundant. But, according to the Division of Natural Recourses, October and November also present the highest risk to West Virginia drivers of colliding with deer. So, you can safely enjoy all the beautiful fall drives West Virginia has to offer, here are some tips from Pantili Mitsubishi for avoiding deer on the road this fall.
Be Aware of your surroundings
Scan your peripherals for deer. If you see a deer, immediately reduce your speed and sound your horn several times in short blasts.
Use your headlights
Keep your headlights on even during the day. This will often help you spot deer because their eyes are reflective. At night, use your high beams when possible to increase your field of view.
Brake, don’t swerve
If you encounter one or more deer on the road, don’t swerve out of your lane to avoid it. Instead, apply your brakes and wait until the deer clear out of the way before proceeding.
One deer usually means more deer
If you see one deer, proceed with extreme caution and keep an eye out for more, as deer typically travel in groups.
This fall, make a habit of driving defensively. Colliding with a deer is very dangerous and can do massive damage to your vehicle. Keep your eyes peeled and drive safely!
The Geneva Motor Show will take place March 7th through the 19th in Geneva, Switzerland. At this year’s show, a new Mitsubishi SUV will be revealed. It will join the Outlander Sport, Outlander, and Outlander PHEV midsize SUVs.
We don’t know much about this new Mitsubishi SUV. However, Mitsubishi has released a teaser image that shows a profile of the new crossover. In the image, we see a stylish design, which Mitsubishi describes as an “active looking coupe SUV shape.” It has heavily flared fenders, a steeply raked rear window, dramatic character line running along the side, and a wedge-shaped belt line.
According to Autoblog, there are rumors that the new crossover will use the Mitsubishi Eclipse name, which was last used on a sporty, compact coupe through the 2012 model year.
Besides describing the new SUV as “compact,” Mitsubishi didn’t say where in the lineup it would sit. Many in the industry suspect it will be smaller than the Outlander Sport, meaning it would compete with other subcompact crossovers like the Chevrolet Trax and Honda HR-V.
Here at Pantili Mitsubishi, we can’t wait to see what this new Mitsubishi SUV will be and are looking forward to seeing it on our showroom floor.

If your car always seems to be filled with junk or collects piles of trash, you might need some help getting organized. Today, we’ll share some tips with you on how to keep your car organized and clean, so you don’t have to be embarrassed the next time someone asks for a ride.
The first thing you’ll need to do is clean your car. This will likely taking longer than you realize, so plan it for a weekend day when you have plenty of time. Consider driving to a local car wash that has a vacuum. Take everything out of your car. Throw away all the trash, and separate everything else into two categories—things to put back in your car and things you need to put somewhere else.
Once you’ve taken everything out of your car, including the floor mats, it’s time to vacuum. Start at the top of your car and work your way down. For your floor mats, if they’re rubber, hose them down. If they’re carpet, vacuum them as well as you can. Or you can always hose these down, too, and leave them outside until they’re completely dry.
Now that you’ve cleaned, take control of your clutter with the proper tools. Have a dedicated container or bag for trash that you empty regularly, like when you fill up your gas tank.
Mitsubishi has big plans for the upcoming Geneva Auto Show this March, including the release of a brand new Mitsubishi crossover model. The vehicle is set to get its debut in Geneva and then go on sale in the United States in early 2018.
We don’t know too much about the new vehicle yet, but rumor has it that it will fit in between the Mitsubishi Outlander and the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in the vehicle lineup, as a small-ish crossover.
Of course, the compact crossover segment is a crowded one, but with the Outlander and Outlander Sport, Mitsubishi has been crushing the competition. We think the new Mitsubishi crossover will do just as well.
The new vehicle is said to be powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and come with Mitsubishi’s “diamond shield” grille design. Also, given its size, we can assume that the vehicle will be quite fuel-efficient and likely accommodate a good number of passengers.
For now, that’s about all we know. Keep your eyes peeled until March, when the Geneva Auto Show gets to host the new Mitsubishi vehicle, and in the meantime, we’ll let keep you apprised of updates.

If you still haven’t chosen a New Year’s resolution, then we have the perfect idea for you: Become a better driver. This goal doesn’t involve any significant amount of skill, time, or money. All you have to do is observe your surroundings and follow a few basic rules, making you a safer and more responsible driver.
Here are a few New Year’s driving resolutions to get you started:
Familiarize yourself with your vehicle; have you actually read your owner’s manual?
Make a seatbelt rule in your car, not only enforcing it upon yourself but also upon your passengers, no matter what.
Slow down this year! Not only is it much safer to drive more slowly, but also, it increases your fuel economy.
Stop driving on empty. As your gasoline level reaches its lowest, your engine has to work harder, with dirtier gasoline, causing damage with time.
Put together a hand-written maintenance log and keep it in your glove box, keeping track of your oil changes, tire checks, etc.
Finally, put a stop to drunk driving – and never ever drive while under the influence again.

Real cars are awesome, but cartoon cars are fun! Here are some of the most famous and best cartoon cars to introduce to your kids.
The Gadgetmobile – Who could forget the Gadgetmobile? Inspector Gadget’s awesome Batmobile rival is modeled after the Mark II Supra and DeLorean. And it goes from car to minivan!
The Original Optimus Prime – This one is modeled after a Freightliner Cab-Over and is the leader of the Autobots. Optimus Prime is one roaring monster that transforms from a regular truck to a Deception-shredding robot.
Canyonero – From The Simpsons, this car is part Range Rover, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, plus a bunch of other American stereotypes. With the Canyonero, The Simpsons good-naturedly pokes fun of our “classic American car” obsession.
Heavy Metal ‘Vette – This cartoon car modeled after a 1960 Corvette is part of the opening sequence to the film Heavy Metal. It launches from a Space Shuttle before touching down in a canyon with an astronaut behind the wheel. Pretty much everyone’s dream.
Mater – Mater from Cars is almost too infamous. Modeled after a 1951 International Harevester and a 1956 Chevy Truck, it’s rusty, outdated, and full of old redneck jokes.

The compact and supremely fuel-efficient Mirage is one of Mitsubishi’s best-selling cars. And it is getting even better for the 2017 model year. Check out these great updates for the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage.
For starters, the updated Mirage will have a new exterior design that gives it a more sophisticated look. The redesigned hood, grille, front and rear bumper, fog and headlamps, rear spoiler, and wheels are designed to be aerodynamic and enhance the Mirage’s fuel efficiency.
Sit inside and take a look at the new seat fabric, gauge cluster, steering wheel, and shift panel. For those who prefer high-quality music, there is a new 300-watt Rockford-Fosgate audio system available. And for those who like to stay connected, there will be a new in-car display audio system that supports both Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto.
“Mirage has gained popularity with its affordable and practical appeal,” said Don Swearingen, executive vice president, MNNA, in a statement. “Mirage owners are looking for a vehicle that does its job well and is reliable. The Mirage continues to deliver all of those attributes, and the improvements to the 2017 model year will expand the Mirage’s appeal even more.”
The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage will be coming to Pantili Mitsubishi in the spring of 2016.
The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has been impressing people over in Europe for a while now, but we’re still waiting to get our first look at it here in the States. Soon, we’ll get that chance, though—the Outlander PHEV has been confirmed for a debut at the New York Auto Show. PHEV stands for “plug-in hybrid vehicle;” the new vehicle will come to the market as a 2017 model.
In fact, according to Automotive News, the new PHEV will hit in the second quarter of 2016. A refreshed version of the gas-powered Outlander will be coming this June, before the PHEV, as well. “All of our 2016 model year vehicles will be refreshed with our new brand identity, starting with the 2016 Outlander, which will make its world premiere at the New York International Auto Show in April,” Mitsubishi Motors North America Executive Vice President Don Swearingen said.
Come see us here at Pantili Mitsubishi to learn more about both the Outlander and its PHEV counterpart today. There’s also the new GC-PHEV, a futuristic looking concept eV that might preview a future Mitsubishi Montero model. We can’t wait to talk about all these models with you, so come see us today.
